American food

As an American, I’m constantly surrounded by Americanized versions of foreign cuisines. We’re a country of immigrants, so the mingling of natives with immigrants creates brand new fusion cuisines. Tex-Mex food isn’t exactly Mexican food…but it isn’t exactly standard American food either. The same goes with Italian-American food, Chinese-American food, etc.

So here’s what I’ve always wondered. Do other countries, particularly ones with lots of American immigrants, have their own unique versions of American food? The USA has Italian-American food, but does Italy have American-Italian food? The USA has Tex-Mex food, but does Mexico have Mex-Tex food? 🤔

I haven’t traveled internationally a lot, so I’m genuinely curious to know from someone who has.

I guess all countries do, we have Chinese foods that aren't anything like the food that's eaten in China

@SW-User That's not really a fair comparison.

Just because all countries have cats and dogs walking around doesn't mean you have to rub China's nose in it.

The CCP only drinks the blood of innocent Christian children on Sundays, I am sure they are too busy to worry about the problem of chinese food walking around everwhere.

Just be glad China invented a semi-sentient Doo Dash delivery clone service, and stop being so lowkey racist, colonizer.

@SW-User ...Why is everything around me suddenly looking like a Uygher Muslim reducation camp?

Huh?

Why yes, I apologize to giant portrait of Great Leader now, where do I sign up?

Ooops, Wrong one?! So sorry!

I am just an innocent victim of subpar racist American Western schooling.

I only graduated because I was the only one in my class to survive the epic meme pranksters who tic tocked their mass shooting live on YouTube.

I ran faster than their bullets until one tackeled my spine.

It's alright though, because my insurance covered half of it.
