Should I be okay?

So I tried this oven recipe that is basically rice and vegetables and you put it in with water and cover it with tinfoil and it is supposed to cook in the oven.

But despite me following all the directions and putting it back in the oven several times the top layer of rice was still slightly hard and I was so hungry that I decided to eat it anyway.

It wasn't hard enough to the point that I couldn't chew it easily as I did eat it and spent just as much time chewing it as the soft part of the rice. All the bottom layers of the rice were soft.

So should I be too concerned with the fact that I ate a plate of it? The top part did cook as much as the rest of the rice it just didn't soak up as much of the moisture.

Has anyone had a similar experience with rice and still ate it despite it being a little hard? Cause I read online that eating rice that's hard or undercooked can cause food poisoning... and it left me wondering if I should be worried or not.

I dont think it would cause food poisoning...thats typically from bad food or undercooked meat.
