Being a southern gal like I am I often crave comfort food. I never had to cook growing up because my mother enjoyed cooking for her family. I used to hang around the kitchen just to talk to her and I never really knew how much I learned just by being in there with her. This morning I browned me a chuck roast and put all my ingredients in a crock pot and slow cooked it for 8 hours and my gosh it's so tender! However, I burnt my cornbread while I was on the phone so I'll just have to do without. 馃槀 And too I have a glass of iced sweet tea! Country living at it's finest!

@PEACH4LIFE indeed so lovely,, from the small sample.. I have been trying to re create some old southern food,, but more helathy you just CANT really get good greens, without some bacon
@plaguewatcher I went to this one restaurant in Atlanta and I can't think of the name but none of their vegetables were cooked with meat and everything I ate was delicious. They mastered it! I can't cook my vegetables without meat 馃槀 it tastes horrible!
