Gee we have had some excitement at my house this even

I was cooking dinner and I heard something exploded behind the stove. We heard it again and I got a chair to look behind the stove and I could see smoke. The plug in the wall was completely black and part of the wall was around it. My husband checked the breaker and it was off. We called a electrician and we got one coming Saturday. We did call the fire department to just make sure the house won't burn down.
