does food without meat in it seem kinda empty to you?

I've been making this rice dish about once a week. I cook up some vegetables (mushroom, peppers and tomatoes) with cumin, cayenne and turmeric. then I mix it with with the rice, salt and pepper and hot sauce. But, it always seems bland and boring if it doesn't have meat in it, preferably chicken.

Funny I just had rice and veggies....it's good but the only problem is I'm hungry again an hour later lolz

@SW-User you should enter an eating contest 😆

@Lilymoon lol, maybe not THAT much. But there's another guy I work with who's the same way. He's thin, but can eat a ridiculous amount of food at one time.

@SW-User yeah I'm kinda like that....I eat a lot just not all at once

What if you cook the rice in chicken broth (or add bouillon) instead of plain water?

Or are you purposely avoiding the meat factor
SW-User
@WaryWitchWandering I'll try that. I'm not really avoiding meat, it's just that I sometimes get lazy and don't feel like adding the extra step of cooking chicken

@SW-User the broth adds that umami type flavor you’re looking for to tie the rest in
