Important question about Mash 馃

I鈥檓 at my grandma鈥檚 for dinner and she鈥檚 making bangers & mash. I just noticed she leaves the skin on the potatoes.

Normal UK thing? 馃槀

I can鈥檛 say I鈥檝e had them that way before. She says they are more rustic, so we鈥檒l see what that means exactly 馃槼馃槼馃槼馃槀馃槀馃槀

I would say the dish is "crushed potatoes" with the skin on. Sounds like a lovely dish nonetheless - if rather unsuited to today's weather!

@ArtieKat When I do them I delegate the mashing to my sons, I insist that it is mashed, not crushed.

@ninalanyon Skin on or off?

@ArtieKat Skin on, to keep all the nutrients, and because it's less work.
