Important question about Mash 🥔

I’m at my grandma’s for dinner and she’s making bangers & mash. I just noticed she leaves the skin on the potatoes.

Normal UK thing? 😂

I can’t say I’ve had them that way before. She says they are more rustic, so we’ll see what that means exactly 😳😳😳😂😂😂

I would say the dish is "crushed potatoes" with the skin on. Sounds like a lovely dish nonetheless - if rather unsuited to today's weather!

@ArtieKat When I do them I delegate the mashing to my sons, I insist that it is mashed, not crushed.

@ninalanyon Skin on or off?

@ArtieKat Skin on, to keep all the nutrients, and because it's less work.
