I like many whiskies especially the more lightly peated of the Islay malts. Kilchoman's Machir Bay above all else.
Used to drink the heavilyy peated stuff but I think that was an attempt at appearing macho. Since then I've learned to enjoy even such subtle, 'mild' whiskies as Isle of Arran.
I've had JW Blue label ... meh. Horribly over-priced & -packaged just so you can show it off to your pals. I think of Johnny Walker being to whisky as Hoover is to vacuum cleaners. 🤣 Hahaha.

@Really I will have to give this a try if i can find it. i do like Arran (just one distillery on the island), especially the 14 year old.

@LamontCranstonMachir Bay is hard to find here. Kilchoman makes more whiskies but the other one I've tried (name forgotten) didn't appeal to me. Arran is hard to find too and I don't have either of them right now. Someone mentioned the Amarone-cask Arran. That's what I've had before and enjoyed very much.

none of the above. I prefer 12 year old+ single malts.

I run two bars,, so that helps... not drinking while you serve the drunk is really revealing

@DavidT8899 I’ll splurge once a year around the holidays on blue.

Great question. I prefer Green. It’s a very unusual type of whisky—a blend of four identified single malts with no neutral spirits added (as is the case in “blended” whiskies, even high-end ones). I’m a big fan of Green Label, and it’s a pretty good price point for the quality.

@Harmonium1923 But the Black is also good. They even have a Double-Black version.
Go with the black.

See comments elsewhere. i prefer single malts but if i had to drink a blend, Dewar's make a nice 18 yeor old blend of mostly single malts "The Vintage". Some real character to it.

Black is in my price range .
