At the risk of being hated by my compatriots ๐ฌ๐ง, fish and chips. The 'fish' is usually low quality, caught in the Arctic/Atlantic and frozen at sea with no regard for preserving flavour or texture. It is then coated in a rich batter and deep fried just in case there is any flavour left ๐คทโโ๏ธ Served with a bucket of soggy chips that mainly get thrown away or fed to the birds as no one can cope with that much starch or so many calories. Can be good for surviving a rainy day at the beach though ๐

@SunshineGirl I've always wanted to try real UK fish and chips. Its just something you hear alot on TV.
Where I live all fried fish is done with cornmeal so totally different I imagine.
I've seen fish and chips a few time as a novelty at some bar or tourist restaurant but it looked super artificial so I didn't try it. Looked like fish sticks.

@SunshineGirl I don't know where you get your Fish and Chips but I've always found it to be amazing. I do not live on the coast where apparently it's even better. The red flag here is you say 'soggy chips' which is not good and even the worst chip shop I've been to doesn't do soggy.
