Wow! Things have changed a lot. You can now sell alcohol at work? But you also need it to work in a pub? If so that part is crazy. @bugeye

@Carissimi yeah pretty much. the license proves you have the health n safety training and will be selling in a professional and regulated manner. you get strikes on it by breaking rules and like a drivers licence can be revoked after enough strikes.

That’s insane and government oppression. We never needed a license when I lived there. The only ones who needed a license were the publicans. @bugeye

@ChipmunkErnie in the uk u need a personal licence to sell or authorise the sale of alcahol. It means i can work as a bartender for example. Woks similar to a drivers license.

@bugeye Never knew that. Here sores and bars need to be licensed, but as far as I know anyone over 21 can sell alcohol.
