@ElwoodBlues London, and the UK, does not serve authentic Indian food. All the dishes you find at your average “Indian” restaurant (almost all staffed by Bangladeshis) are British dishes that happen to be made with Indian ingredients.
You would get blank looks in India if you asked for a chicken tikka massala, for example (which, by the way, is Britain’s official national dish).
@SW-User There's still tandoori dishes and chicken tikka & other tikkas and the paneers and naan and various parathas. Over 90% of the items on the menu are Indian. We can argue until the cows come home about the definition of "authentic" but it's more accurate to call that cuisine Indian than British.
