I have close friends who are vegetarian (actually pescatarian, (sp?)they eat fish)and I have enjoyed many tasty dishes at their home. Until the stop butchering cattle, I'm not letting beef go to waste.
I am not vegetarian but there is much that you are able to do with vegetables. Squashes are yummy with butter and salt but are easily used to make pie. Beans are tasty alone but they might also be used to make "veggie burgers". The uses for tomatoes would fill a recipe book!
But do not give up on meat. We need it in our diet.

I don't eat a whole lot of meat...but I do enjoy a good steak now and again. I am mostly a chicken and fish kinda girl.... ;) Could never be a vegetarian.

Thats possibly because your knowledge of a vegetarian diet and available choices is limited.
No, search Google for "Heirloom Seeds". Then call the heirloom seed company and ask them if their seeds are tested to make sure they have not cross pollinated with gmo crops. They will likely tell you that only certain varieties have been tested. That's quite alright because there are some crops that have not been genetically modified yet. For instance, there is not yet (to my knowledge) a genetically modified carrot. So, carrots do not need to be tested in a laboratory.
An apple a day and a bowl of seaweed or a dozen rice cakes? Ahhhh, a double bacon cheese burger, large fries, oh yeah, extra ketchup (catsup, Ooops cats are animals, sorry.)

Vegans have a lot of choices actually, given the countless edible fruits and veggies.

you do realise that vegetarian doesn't mean eating just vegetables, right? They eat pasta, bread, cereals, etc. You've gotta be kidding.
Yeah I know... I've lived with a vegetarian all my life, and I have friends whom are veggies... everything tastes the same tbh. Well there are like 3 different taste combos.
