What's a drink or food you always thought sounded good before you tried it?

For me it was a martini I always imagined that they would be good but honestly it's just pure vodka and some watered down syrup and they're disgusting 🤮

Actually, I had that reaction with gin martinis. After hearing about them for years, I found I really, really dislike the taste of gin.

I am fine with vodka though.

@DrWatson My late husband’s favorite drink was Tanqueray. I never cared for it. 🤢

@bijouxbroussard To me, the aroma and taste of gin evoke images of Dickensian squalor! It's hard for me to think of gin martinis as "sophisticated!" 😊
