What weird food have you never tried before but want to give it a try? I'm curious to see what boiled peanuts taste like.

It tastes as good as you can imagine.Soft and nutty ,but flavourful

I saw them sold in cans at Food Lion but figured it wouldn’t be the same as buying them from a place that prepared them fresh every day.

I bought a small jar of Vegemite a few weeks ago but haven’t tried it yet, haven’t baked bread and will try it on some keto waffle breads when I make them.

I never tried Balut when I was in the Philippine Islands and wondering if I missed something.
I heard it was disgusting.

My brother raved about boiled peanuts and the first day I was visiting him in Florida, he bought me some 'fresh' from the boiler person.

You can have my share. I found them as appealing (and much like) unsalted lumpy mashed potatoes. Only not as good.

I bought two 5 lb bags of raw peanuts, because I want to try roasting them myself without oil. BUT...I did open the bag and threw them in with a sort of Asian turkey leftover dish I made, with pea pods and so on. I think that's the closest I will get to "boiled" peanuts.

Raw peanuts are toxic, and you have to either simmer, boil, or roast them for 15 minutes.

I’ve tried boiled peanuts and didn’t like them all. It’s something about the texture that really put me off.
But if you like boiled okra, then there shouldn’t be too much of stretch for you.

the good boiled peanuts has lots of salt,, you find in the southern states,,fresh cooked is the best,,most stores has caned ones,,

No idea what they taste like, but I saw a video on how to make them traditionally and the guy seemed to enjoy the hell out of them.

What’s that fruit that you can make that looks like meat? I’d try that
