@SW-User its not a proof in any way or inteded too.. its an example that people hear 2-Methylpropanol and think they will die from it without knowing what it is or means.

@RedFlower Well yeah, but that goes for most things. Unless you have knowledge in that area, any technical or chemical term will indtimiate you a bit. In the case of that screenshot, all I see is someone with knowledge purposely tricking someone without knowledge, just to get a "gotcha" moment and look smart.

@SW-User it absolutely worked... its not like he forced the other person to look like an idiot. people are way to eager to judge and form an opinion with no qualification on the topic.

@RedFlower You don't need to know the chemical composition of a vaccine to form an opinion on it's safety or effectiveness. All that guy proved is that he's smug and would rather belittle and shame people than form a real argument to support his view.

@SW-User actually yes you do need to know what a vaccine is composed of and how it works to form any viable opinion about it.

Regardless, I feel that this exchange is pointless. I didn't come here to waste my time arguing about vaccines which I am not even opposed to. My area of interest is the study of argument and I only stepped in to point out that "hurr hurr gotcha" and "I'm an expert" arent valid arguments and actually work against you (if your purpose is to convince people that you are correct, as opposed to simply mocking them for their apparent ignorance)
