Is anyone here vegan?

I wonder if vegan butters tastes similar to regular butter.. coz.. its my cooking hack.. when i try to cook some vegies, i dont know why but they have this micro tangy flavor back in my toungue but if I use some butter my vegie dish is somewhat better and eadible lol.. if i ever try being a vegetarian or vegan, i need to know how to enhance my vegie cooking..!!! If I cant use a regular butter, how do I make the flavor better, I wonder..

I cook for a living and I have developed some vegan recipes. The truth is that to replicate familiar flavours you usually have to use artificial additives - which rather defeats the proclaimed aim of veganism.

@jellyfishman In the UK there is a common dairy-free spread called Vitalite.

@ArtieKat ahh.. too bad we dont have it in here but i guess i just need to try dairy free stuff to see if i like them..
