Would you like to go to a restaurant that weighs you before you order your food?

A restaurant chain in China has done this but now they have stopped. They were making recommendations based on the weight of each customer.

I would not.

Although if a restaurant like this opened in the U.S., I could imagine it would have a "cult following"....people who would be go precisely because this is so over the top, and then laugh about their experiences afterward. "So she told me I should eat nothing but celery!...."

@DrWatson I think the whole purpose of it was to cut down on food waste. It is a fried steak restaurant but they also sell pork belly & fish heads among other things. They can’t account for personal taste.

@cherokeepatti On the other hand, I might be willing to put up with a lot of abuse in exchange for a good pork belly sandwich!!!
