If the only Golden Corral in town closes down will the town ever be the same?

They closed during the quarantine & reopened but people are seated & tell a waitress what they want & then have to wait till they bring it. Now the restaurant is closing due to few customers. The end of the buffet era is upon us.

Buffet food is usually no big loss, IMO. My mother used to love the Country Buffet in Brockton, so we were forced to eat that stuff every year on her birthday.

I don't think I've ever been to a Golden Corral. It's a three hour drive to the only Golden Corral in Massachusetts...but I do see the commercials on TV.

@4meAndyou Here is something else with buffets. The university’s kitchen is basically a big buffet 3 meals a day. It is about the size of a typical Golden Corral. There are other restaurants on campus but most are really expensive. They are going to have to hire servers or something at that university buffet & it’ll piss the students off for what they charge for the meals, and most are in a hurry to eat.

@cherokeepatti They will come up with something...boxed lunches, or whatever. If they hire servers, it will probably be students on a work study program.

@4meAndyou yes that’s what they do anyway, hire a lot of students to work back in the kitchen with the regular cooks.. living on campus is a big rip-off, the daily meal prices they charge are outrageous compared to what a student can buy food and eat too. It gets the students in debt With student loans right in the beginning and this needs to be stopped.

@cherokeepatti There is a LOT about universities that needs to be stopped. Not talking about food, either.

@4meAndyou Oh I agree with you on that.
