What’s your favorite brand of hot sauce?

I bought a bottle of Frank’s original hot sauce, have been hearing it’s good. Let’s see if it beats Sriracha sauce though.

Louisiana Hot Sauce

I am addicted to hot sauce and even drink it straight. I love it for health benefits too! I have tried them all and this is just my favorite, hands down and cheap too.😋

@Oster1 Seems too vinegary to me after trying Sriracha, I don’t know how it compares to Frank’s though. Louisiana Hot Sauce is good for beans though, a little sour taste is good. I usually squeeze some lime juice on them now.

@cherokeepatti Lime would be good too. I just love the Louisiana brand. The best that I can describe it is a unique smoky taste. I also use a lot of vinegars too!😊

Totally different flavors.

Many moons ago, we had a fave place for taco Tuesdays and someone (who I assume was Mexican) brought his own hot sauce. He let us try it, and it's been my fave since. Started with green, but now I think red has more flavor. They have different flavors, but the originals are top notch and very spicy.

I'm a Texas pete fan.

Palo Alto Firefighters Pepper Sauce. I first tasted in Key West at Peppers of Key West. It has flavor and the right amount of heat.

Franks and Sriracha for cooking. Crystal for dips and Southern sauces. Tapatio for potato chips and mexican food. Different flavors for different foods.

@dragonfly46 I’m gonna marinate chicken breast chunks in the Frank’s hot sauce & then cook them in an electric mini-grill to put them on pizza I make later.

I also am a fan of Sriracha too, when I want that garlic taste. I like the number one brand with the rooster on the label!😊
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@Oster1 Same, I bought another brand of sriracha once when the store didn’t offer the rooster brand and the other brand didn’t hold up.
Oster1 · M
No I agree, the rooster is the best. I read a story one time about the town it’s made in. The whole town always smells like it!😊 @cherokeepatti

Cholula sauce when I use any. If I really want something hot I add habaneros. Like in chili.

@hertoy I used to buy that when I worked at the car lot, the guys liked it. They also liked Sriracha. Anything with some spiciness

I like most.of them as long as they are Louisiana style and not that pureed crap.

Tabasco, tapatio, and Crystal are my two do all go-to sauces. Frank's is good for wings and such.
MethDozer · M
@cherokeepatti nice. Hope it comes out well.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@MethDozer I’ve made it before using Sriracha, have to water it down a bit cause it’s so thick. Put the chicken chunks plus thinly shredded onions on the pizza with cheese. I liked it last time I made it.
MethDozer · M
@cherokeepatti Yeah, I was just thinking that. Hot sauces in general don't seem to soak in as well. I often use one if those meat injectors for things with some viscosity like Siracha.
