How do you quash the urge to snack?

It’s really bad right now. I usually have unhealthy snacks around this time, and more importantly, I didn’t eat enough dinner. How do you not snack?
I have binge eating issues so I totally know what that feels like but I've been good lately, reminding myself of the long term benefits of not over eating and not eating junk, not only have I felt great physically but emotionally as well.
You just have to either snack on fruit and vege or think about something else.
Thinking 'dont think about food' is thinking about food so dont do that.
Go for a walk, take up sewing, anything but unhealthy snacks are not worth it unless it's a once and a while treat

When you feel like snacking, drink a big glass of water. Even if you still feel like snacking, you’ll eat less.

@BananaBrown that makes a lot of sense. I’ll do that from now on. I’m not near water though, and I don’t want to wake anyone up.
