@L96Arctic They are going to rebuild it. The building was an old grocery store that became a burger joint. The building and parking lot just didn't work for a burger joint with drive through.

@L96Arctic Ha ha I thought it would be. Not many good independent burger joints around anymore.

@hippyjoe1955 none here either. all the big brands. when we do occasionally get something new it closes within the month

@L96Arctic Yeah kind of sad. I would have to drive at least 10 miles to find an independent burger joint.

@L96Arctic Good idea. There is one completely independent 20 miles west of here and another that has 3 outlets one per city about 10 miles away. Good burgers and great milkshakes!

@L96Arctic Yeah I agree. Not bad fries but the burgers and shakes are reason people go there. It was once rated the best burgers and fries in Canada.

@hippyjoe1955 wow that's saying something. I've lived like an hour from the border for 4 years and I still haven't gotten my passport. Im so lazy. but now that i know they have good food I might actually get off my lazy butt

@L96Arctic Ha ha yeah I spent time in the US on military exchange but haven't had a passport in many many years. Of course I didn't need it then.

@L96Arctic I was only in the reserves. It put me through university.

@hippyjoe1955 still it was something. would be nice to have some financial aid for my schooling, or gotten a career started sooner

@L96Arctic Yeah it was won way to get a degree. I likely had enough money in the bank before I started school. I was given a flock of sheep when I was ten and all the money from the sheep was mine to keep. Tuition was quite cheap too.

@L96Arctic I grew up on a farm. My brother raised turkeys for his college. My parents paid for my sisters.
