I've done both. I prefer my own hummus, because it has no chemicals or preservatives.

I make my own but from tinned chick peas usually

Yes, it's very nice. I buy it though. I'd love to taste your homemade stuff.

@cherokeepatti I'm sure your body appreciates all the thought you put into your food Patti.

@Wraithorn doesn’t take much for me to get inflamed. I guess I need to give up the coffee in the morning, and not have anything with caffeine even tea.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@cherokeepatti You'll need to drink more Rooibos tea then. 🙂

I like the Sabra brand.

Home made anything is always better, what else do you put in?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User lemon juice, roasted sesame oil, salt, pepper, and a little water....cayenne pepper is also good, and you can add chopped parsley or cilantro if you like. I think there are a lot of versions on the market. If you don’t have or like sesame oil you can use olive oil.

@cherokeepatti I love sesame oil that all sounds really delicious 😋

I love hummus, especially in pita sandwiches. I’ve never made it though.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
I like it on pita chips
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone I don’t eat wheat now so I have it with raw veggies, I guess I could get some tortilla chips and have it. I like to make homemade retried beans and would probably make some of that instead though.

Invite to your house? 🤣

No, but I have hots for the girl in the commercial
MethDozer · M
I have made it, but honestly the deli I go to makes it just as good and is about the same price to be honest.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MethDozer I think it’s a lot cheaper to make it with dry beans cooked in the crockpot.

@cherokeepatti It probably is for ya'.
