Burger Night...What kind of toppings???

My daughter wants to have burger night. It used to be easy: lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, pickle, mayo and ketchup on a plain white hamburger bun. Now there's so many more options: teriyaki, bbq, ranch, spicy aiol sauce; mushrooms, bacon, avocado, caramelized onions, alfalfa sprouts, egg topping; jalapeno peppers, onion rings, kim chee; white/wheat, sesame, onion, sourdough, pretzel bun. I told my daughter we have to narrow it down. What is your perfect hamburger: toppings, sauces, bun??

in this order from bottom bun to top: mustard, raw onions, burger, bacon, one or two pickle slices, lettuce and then the mayo under the top bun.

@xSharp Haha, yes...even the way we assemble burgers is a personal preference and makes all the difference doesn't it? Thanks for sharing. Sounds delish!

Keep it simple and go with what works. Trying to make stuff too "special" ruins what it is.

@Archangel14 That's what I told my daughter. I told her more isn't necessarily better. Thanks!

Lean ground beef, yellow mustard, onion slice, tomato, cheddar cheese, whole wheat bun.

@NativeOregonian Wow, that sounds so cool. Let me know how it turns out. Btw... pretzel buns are yummm! They have a slight pull to it and holds up well to all the fillings but isn't too hard and dry.

@alohamom It's very cool :D I wish I knew when I will be able to move to activate it, hopefully soon.

@alohamom I will have to try the pretzel bun next time I hit the local joint that offers them.

Cheddar, bacon, over medium fried egg, with all the rabbit food too.

@NativeOregonian That sounds perfect. Thanks!

@alohamom You're so very welcome :) But sometimes if I don't have the egg, I substitute a grilled pineapple ring glazed in teriyaki.

Have tried peanut butter? It sounds gross, but it's pretty tasty.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@Straylight Not a fan of peanut butter, over half the familybon my Dad's side has varying nut and legume allergies.
alohamom · F
@Straylight I've tried it in my chocolate shake....yum. The more I think about it the better it sounds. Thanks for the suggestion.
