Know of any good, free meal-planning app?

Yes, i know i could use pen and paper but i dont want to.

I've been using color note when at the geocery but I'd like to be able to see everything needed for each meal, along with the list of ingredients needed..

I use a pen and paper, because I think it's the most efficient route to go. I know what I have on hand, except for the spice cabinet. For that I keep a running inventory.
When I do my meal planning for the week I look for recipes that are appealing and that I have most of what I need to make already on hand. Then I write down the name of the meal, what book and page number it's from, and what I need to buy.

@SooperSarah i may need to start doing that. I have been compiling recipes onto paper. Clicking out of adds and reading life stories before the actual recipe on pintrest is annoying
@iamnikki I have a lot of cookbooks. Recipes I find online I print and put in a binder if I like them.

@SooperSarah even better idea

I saw someone somewhere recommend Mealime, and I still haven't given it a try lol. But I want to remember to try that!

Try Pepperplate. It's free, it lists all their recipes and allows you to add the ingredients to your shopping list.

I use to do that but you end up with all sorts of different ingredients that go bad
@MarineBob I made that mistake when I started eating healthier. The rest of the fresh herbs and random ingredients I bought for one recipe all ended up in the trash.

@MarineBob of course. Dont have to buy them all. If the app lets you sub or remove items, that be great. I also buy things and freeze them, for next time

Go to webcookingclasses.com
Chef Todd will have you working with what you've got in no time. I reviewed his materials so I got a free lifetime membership. Don't really need it as I can cook but we hang out and compare notes.

Best app ever. Your head.

Seriously, not everything is in season. Nor is everything fresh or even affordable. No app can cover all that. Only your head.
