@FurryFace A friends Dad just passed away and he was stocked up on Expresso
I was a huge fan of Cuban coffee being stationed in Miami and living on South Beach between the Old Jews and the Cubans ,
But never made it myself ,until a buddy who works for state said he was going to me in Miami a while and while and he was there he was picking up an Expresso coffee maker ,I have a little one and a big one but had not used them so now he had me craving some ,,so I broke out the little one ,it was heaven .
Well my daughter always liked making my coffee ,,so she hooks me up with a caraft full of coffee to take to work with me ,
I was bouncing off the walls ,it was Expresso
And I like fresh coffee beans ,so I laid off the Expresso ,went back to my Columbian beans
But his daughter just laid his stock pile on me
Guess I will break out my little pot ,,but I will keep the coffee hid
Can't have my daughter making that mistake again ,
though I am sure the Keurig machine my son in law bought me would probable work as good as the pot made just for Expresso
My BP already stays extremely high ,I may have to watch myself

@FurryFace aw man ,ever do the real Cuban coffee ,its like a tiny cup of heaven ,,but there is a reason its served in tiny cups ,,it will wire you like speed ,not as bad as coke ,,but its pretty potent

So if you never had the real deal ,you may enjoy the instant ,but as a rule any thing instant is no comparison to the real thing

@FurryFace Well brother I wish we lived near one another
you would never go without coffee (assuming you love coffee )
I have given up many many vices ,but when I can't enjoy my coffee ,,,
I am ready for my dirt nap ,,my simple pleasures will be gone LOL
I settle for Folgers classic roast to keep my daughter from having to deal with Wal-Mart ,,but if she is going in there anyway ,I prefer 8 oclock whole beans and I mill them by the cup ,thats a smell I have remembered all my life
Grandpa grinding and brewing coffee ,,they put it in my bottle
Grandpa was an officer and in the officers mess they used tiny cups with an anchor for cream ,,,one of those was my coffee cup as I had coffee with Grandpa and Grandma before Grandma passed ,,so its a very fond memory
That is about the size of an actual cup of Cuban coffee ,that tiny cup
a simple way of starting my day saying "I got this "
Even in a major storm I am comforting people ,,we still have good coffee
We still have good tea ,I have good meat smoking on the smoker ,all is not lost ,,we are alive and a few comforts until normal life is restored
