What is the longest time you have gone without food?

So just drinking water only, not nutritional drinks. Perhaps it was due to a health issue or maybe you were in the military on an exercise or lost somewhere?

For me i was hiking with two friends during the 90's in a southern mountainous area of Australia and we weren't lost but one guy twisted his ankle and it slowed us down and we had to do the final five days through very mountainous country with only an onion, a packet of soup mix, some tea leaves and plenty of water. One guy had a chocolate bar left but ate it all himself. There was no adequate cell phone coverage back then. By the end i had lost a lot of weight, i was very lethargic and i could look at leaves on trees and was tempted to eat them along with all the bugs. During this time we also walked about 70km and I lost about 12kg and i was already very lean. At the end we finally got to a road near a small village and flagged down a motorist who picked us up. I actually didn't feel hungry at this point... it was like i was beyond it. I navigated with an outdated map which caused us to miss a small settlement along the way and compass.. so nothing electronic as that's all we had. Anyone been through something similar?

Here's a photo i took of a deserted hut in the distance that we came across.. it was shelter but had no food.

Close to two weeks. I spent much of my childhood enduring chronic starvation. Which is part of why my metabolism is so fast these days and I eat twice as much food as a grown woman of my size usually would.

@BlueMetalChick I remember you talking about this a while ago, how you lacked food when you were growing up. I can totally understand it messing with your metabolism. Starvation can cause all kinds of health issues. Glad you got free.

@SW-User Every cloud has a silver lining. Mine is that now, because of my abnormal metabolic rate, I can eat pretty much whatever I want and however much of it I want without ever worrying about gaining weight lol
I would have thought not eating regularly would have caused your metabolism to slow down. @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Spoiledbrat That can happen too. The effects can either be a slowing of the metabolism to retain food as long as possible, or it can be a speeding up because the body is so starved that any food is immediately broken down and converted to glucose because it's so badly needed.

Like, if you were really thirsty but only had a little bit of water, you might try to drink that water as slowly and in as small of portions as possible to make it last. Or, the second you find a source of water, you're so parched that you immediately gulp it down.

@BlueMetalChick I wonder if my issue is similar to yours. I had chronic anxiety as a kid from school abuse and developed a metablism issue and i struggle to put on weight. I have to work hard at the gym just to keep some muscle. Surfing helps a lot but I haven't gained weight since my 20's.
@BlueMetalChick OK....I'm officially jealous. I regularily go a day without food. And I only need to look at a cupcake to increase mass.

Is it politically correct to say "I hate you " ?😂
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Omg, that's how I am too! I have boundless energy, a constant appetite, but terrible trouble putting on and keeping on weight.
SW-User
@BoobooSnafu Come hiking with me and you'll lose all the weight you want 😂
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BoobooSnafu How about you give me some weight? I could use it lol and it sounds like you don't need it 🤣
@BlueMetalChick Hey ,,...if I could scoop it off and stick it in an envelope....I'd be licking the stamp as we speak !😂

I mean...I'm lucky not to be fat, (been there in youth)...but, I went on 'weight watchers' once.....and put on weight.

I eat one meal a day....or I snack.

You can have some of my ass....I got lots of ass.....but my tits ....I keep......they're an investment for the future !😂
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BoobooSnafu Yeah that's ok, I don't want your tits anyway. I already have decently sized breasts, and I hate them. Not only do they get in the way of things and annoy me, but I feel like they're constantly making fun of me. Cos breasts make milk to feed a baby, and I can't have children, so it's like they're always right there saying "Haha! Dumb cunt, you can produce milk but can't have a kid, what a loser!"
@BlueMetalChick MMMmmmmm........they have a fair degree on 'fun factor' built in.....😉Breat feeding is only a small pastime job for them. And not all women can do it.
I couldn't the first time....and needed to bottle feed.

Do you mind if I ask why ....brearing children may not be in your cards ?
.....please ignore this request if it feels insulting or too inquisitive.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BoobooSnafu As an asexual, there's no "fun factor" for me lol. They're just a waste of space on me 😂

I can't bear children because of an injury. I got pregnant when I was 19 years old, but 5 months into the pregnancy, I went through the windshield of a car during an accident and landed on a mailbox. It left with my a hole the size of a softball in my abdomen that went right through my womb and essentially turned my fetus into human mulch. Now I don't have a properly functioning womb. I could get pregnant, but I'd never reach gestation. I would miscarry very early.

@BlueMetalChick I'm sorry you went through that. You've been through a lot in a short time. I remember you posting a selfie of yourself once and you look really healthy so i think you seem to be managing the weight issue ok. You are smart so you'll only get better at it over time.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User What selfie was it, if you remember? I'm curious whenever someone mentions my photograph lol
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I remember that i think you might have been in a car. Not sure but you were wearing a tank top and had put the words "blessed" to cover your eyes. Still a great pic though lol
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Oh gosh, I didn't know anyone remembered that pic 😂 I took that as a joke for Snapchat, I was making fun of those girls who always play Rihanna songs and say they're "blessed" for having a Michael Kors bag or something lmao 🤣

It was this one, yes?

SW-User
@BlueMetalChick LOL! yes that's the one!! haha cool pic. See you look good so you must be doing something right with your diet and exercise.
@BlueMetalChick Woah...that's the most succinct explanation of a trauma I have EVER heard.
I won't tell you my feelings of empathy........you are evidently built of stronger stuff for a reason. - Survival.

Asexuality can be frustrating.....no one understands your passions flow into higher pursuits. and yeah...tits are a pain in the butt if you just consider their bodily mass.

But ....consider this.....would you prefer mounds on the front of your torso, (that can be removed if you have the money)....or a bunch own junk between your legs that had a mind of it's own?

The female form is not so bad. And has a beauty that surpasses the male....and that's coming from a hetro female.

We are beautiful,,,,we are nature personified. And you are part of that.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Well I do exercise a lot. You can't tell in that picture cos I'm not flexing but I have some ass kicking biceps on me lol
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BoobooSnafu I dunno, I don't really see any beauty in the human body, nor any ugliness. It's just...there. In aesthetics, at least. In design, it's incredible, it's brilliant, so many millennia of evolution and adaptations, our immune system, the way our eyeballs have developed, how we've become accustomed to walking upright. That's truly beautiful.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I think you have the right attitude and you'll always be strong and healthy. I can't imagine you letting yourself go. It's not something either of us would do lol.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick See this is why you're so cool... it's how you see things and describe them.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User I do have a little bit of an offbeat way of perceiving things.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick U do gypsy friend :)
