Do you like to make/eat soups?

If so, what kind?

Honestly I find them quite nice in how they require very little technical work to make and turn out so good for so little work. My grandma caught some kind of illness so I decided to make her some homemade chicken noodle soup. Turned out mighty tasty, she loved it. Love me some homemade chicken noodle. 😌

@Peaches Hehe, was just a day for chicken noodle I guess. :P Gotta love it.

@UndeadPrivateer Yeah. I cook a whole chicken, pull it out and de-bone it. Then I add carrots, onion, celery and cilantro. I cook the veggies a while and add the chicken back to the pot with noodles. Takes me 2 or 3 hours to make it. I also use chicken broth instead of salt, tastes so much better to me.⭐🍲

@Peaches I usually do the same but we had no whole chicken, so instead I seasoned and pan fried a couple chicken breasts and then took them out and chopped them up and set them aside. Then I put in some garlic, leeks and celery and scraped up the brown bits on the bottom of the pan and fried them a bit before adding some chicken base(to substitute for lack of a carcass), chicken and water and let that simmer for a while before adding in the carrots. Then I let it simmer for a while longer before finally adding the mushrooms and noodles and finishing it off with some smoked salt and pepper. Was just about 3 hours from start to finish for mine as well.

@Peaches 🙀 Oh noooooo.

@UndeadPrivateer Hahaha, I really meant to add some! I use the "elephant garlic" because it's easier to peel. Ya know all you have to do is pop it in the microwave a few seconds and the skin comes right off.😊

@Peaches Mighty handy. I myself don't mind having to fiddle with it a bit to peel 'em. I'm a bit of a garlic fiend, hehe.
