Do you like to make/eat soups?

If so, what kind?

Honestly I find them quite nice in how they require very little technical work to make and turn out so good for so little work. My grandma caught some kind of illness so I decided to make her some homemade chicken noodle soup. Turned out mighty tasty, she loved it. Love me some homemade chicken noodle. 馃槍

Yes. I could do soup every day.

My own easy trick is to always keep an assortment of canned tomato, potato, onion, rice or other simple soup in the pantry, and use them as a base for heavier vegetable soups.

When ready, I steam or boil whatever fresh veggies are handy and add them to the pot with the canned soup, along with whatever spices sound appealing for the day. Sweet curry works great. To stretch it even further, add noodles.

@Heartlander Not a bad way to do it, honestly. Takes care of much of the seasoning for you.

@UndeadPrivateer Yes, it's also a good way to keep veggies like celery, parsley, potatoes, squash, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, etc. moving through the kitchen if you don't have a big family.

@Heartlander Very true. I cook for four so not as big an issue for me but when just cooking for one or two I could see it being a little more tricky.

@UndeadPrivateer Yes, with just two, outlasting a celery or cilantro bunch can be a challenge :)
