What is it with these overpriced bureger joints?

[c=#BF0080] GBK, Five Guys, Byron? they charge seperate for everything? 馃槸 NO fries with the meal and up to 拢13 for a burger! On its own! Add fries, Onion rings and a drink it's like 拢18-"拢22! I can go to Wetherspoons and get a full Burger meal WITH drink for 拢8! I wont be entertaining any of these places! [/c]

Because they鈥檙e proper burgers made in-house. Cheaper places are frozen and/or contain less meat, substituted with flour or corn.
@Shaun [c=#BF0080] I get that but sheesh! atleast put the fries in with the price of the burger![/c]

They鈥檝e got to make their money somewhere. Gourmet burgers tend to use more expensive cuts. More expensive restaurants also pay their staff more so they keep things separate.
@Shaun [c=#BF0080] I suppose That's capitalism for you! [/c]

@CrystalSparkles capitalism is based on giving the consumer what they want. Obviously some people want posh gourmet burgers, but they don鈥檛 come cheap.
@Shaun [c=#BF0080] Im a socialist (UK Labour Party) but will conceed that you are right! I'm not an extreme Lefty who want to abolish capitalism, because technically, you cannot.[/c]

Labour is not pure socialist. Pure socialism is communism. I wouldn鈥檛 class the Uk as very socialist. Apart from public services, the rest is capitalist. The problem is corporatism and monopoly.
