What is it with these overpriced bureger joints?

[c=#BF0080] GBK, Five Guys, Byron? they charge seperate for everything? 😯 NO fries with the meal and up to £13 for a burger! On its own! Add fries, Onion rings and a drink it's like £18-"£22! I can go to Wetherspoons and get a full Burger meal WITH drink for £8! I wont be entertaining any of these places! [/c]

Often you have to queue up for a table too. I ate at Five Guys and the fries were cold and the burger red in the middle. Thank god for good old Wetherspoons, the food is always good and reasonably priced.

Because they’re proper burgers made in-house. Cheaper places are frozen and/or contain less meat, substituted with flour or corn.

@CrystalSparkles capitalism is based on giving the consumer what they want. Obviously some people want posh gourmet burgers, but they don’t come cheap.

Labour is not pure socialist. Pure socialism is communism. I wouldn’t class the Uk as very socialist. Apart from public services, the rest is capitalist. The problem is corporatism and monopoly.
