Depending on the marinade I usually cook it on the stove until it turns into a thick sauce. But typically people do just toss the marinade if they're going to bake the meat

Usually the marinade is just lemon juice/ yogurt/wet and dry spices and salt. So there's only enough to cook it in. Don't throw it coz that's the flavor.
@iamnikki Yeah, pour it in the baking dish over the meat before you bake... You can make jus(gravy) out of that after it's baked.
