Do you believe this to be true?

"Sharia is not a foreign legal system to be banned, it is a moral and spiritual path that calls on American Muslims to pray, give charity, treat others honestly, and stand up for what is right." CAIR

I agree, but it is a "religious based law" because it's rooted in a "holy book," the same way Mosaic Law is rooted in an ancient "holy text."
I understand your point, but I don't think we need to defend Sharia Law, we just need to point out to all who hear the fear mongering that no one in this country needs to fear Muslim America trying to implement Sharia Law because the US Constitution forbids it. To implement Sharia Law is to establish a religion in this country, and the Constitution is clear on the matter: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion........."
@calicuz That says Congess is limited.

In the UK, Muslims have tried to force their standards upon persons they encountered in their...patrolling.

Well, I hope the right wing in the UK are just being hyperbolic and that's not really happening. Like here in America where MAGA, our "right wing extremists," are being hyperbolic about all of this transgender nonsense. We literally had maybe 3 trans teenagers, out of 348 million Americans, who wanted to compete in female sports and MAGA was ready to overthrow the government at that point. 🙄
I recommend that you ratify the UK Constitution and add "no law establishing religion," like the United States.
@calicuz I live in the US.

This was reported pretty widely.

I thought you were American, I just thought I got it wrong when you mentioned the UK.
