As you age. Balance is vital.

I always had very good balance as a child and young adult. Even as a older adult tbh. As a child i LOVED my BMX skateboard. That stood me in well when gloved up boxing with my brother. I worked on very high buildings without harnesses back then too from building timber framed houses to scaffolding. General building work. I now at all but 58 use a balance board. It stabilises your ankles and keeps the smaller muscles used for balance in check. I can do bodyweight squats on it now too. So if like me your a old git lol. I suggest a balance board is one of the best investments for your balance to help prevent falling etc. Oh and a range of stretch bands to keep your body subtle.

Oh I enjoyed reading this. But I could never never ever do what you did in working in high places. I always wondered how you guys could do that. That would terrify me to death. I wouldn't be able to move an inch... not a pinch!

Yep I need a balancing board real bad because my ankles and knees and legs are weak. I don't know what I could get at my age though where I wouldn't fall while I was trying to build up my strength. I need that real bad.

@LadyGrace Im old now but did this. Id be 80ft plus up sometimes and just didnt bother to care. In the 80s it was normal. Before that guys were walking on beams doing sky scrapers. This is not massively high. Its a TV ariel i did for a old couple bless them.
@Perry1968 yep, I find even those photos hard to look at. Haha and I can't even look at those pictures of the guys on the skyscrapers. Without a net. Those words make me cringe. Haha I just can't look at anything like that. I get so scared. I don't know how in the world you do it or the guys who built those buildings in New York City. I just don't understand how they would not be terrified. One slip, that's all it would take in their life would be ended. Too much.
