Paypal vs Stripe?

stripe and paypal are different things, but, i think i understand what you mean. suppose you wanted to use paypal for a business, receiving credit card payments, from the public. in this case the term used is "merchant services." paypal's "merchant services" require the consumer who is paying you to use paypal to complete the transaction, and that is inconvenient for people who don't want to do that. stripe on the other hand, is much better, because the consumer only has to have a credit card. good luck!
@pdxlinux can't you use PayPal to pay by credit card without making an account? I thought that was possible.

@NerdyPotato it's tricky. you have to work at it to make it work. all through the process they try to get you to sign up for paypal and carry a balance in paypal. also business owners' personal name, legal name, is shown to the consumer. that can be inconvenient for business owners that want to present themselves as a business entity rather than an individual. for some people, paypal seems to be helpful. for some, it is the opposite. good luck to you.
I've never heard of stripe, but I do occasionally use PayPal.
