Every pay do you 'run the money' to work out what you have to pay, what else you can afford to pay for, and what you can't?
I do. I'm 'safe' but I still have to juggle bills, necessary spending, etc. to keep it all in check.
There are so many 'jobs' on the to-do list that working out how to prioritise and fund them without using credit (re-draw from home loan, or getting a credit card or similar) is not an easy task.
Besides the home loan (a low interest long term loan), getting any sort of very high interest short-term credit (which a credit card would be) is stupid when I know I couldn't pay it off and that would run the risk of defaulting on the home loan trying to juggle even more demands on the money I don't actually have.
This is before I factor in paying for food/groceries, clothing and household needs for me and my daughter, and trying to save up for the big insurance (house and car) and car rego bills that are annual payments.
