I hate to be the bearer of bad news

But I feel that we are destined today for a full tank flush of our markets.

Sorry

I'm totally going to the wine store after work.

The stock market is a casino for the wealthy and corporations. It has little to do with the quality of life for the average person. Instead of the Dow Jones, we need a "Doug Jones" index showing quality of life indicators for people making under $100K/year.

@badminton There are actually 2 stock markets now. (The same applies to options/futures markets). There is the value/investment market looking for development, growth and profitable returns over time. Thats still there and populated by Warren Buffett amongst others.
Then there is the trading market, which is in effect a casino, with frequent chifts in position or "trades" for short term profit. (and loss, because for every winner there is a loser) And those markets are the brain child of the brokers, who profit on every trade, win or lose, and the financiers who bankroll margin loans, promote trader algorithms into the game and parcel up various debt instruments as "investments" in a similar way to the US banks in the lead up to the Global Financial Crisis. The only people that ended well for were the Banks.. This will be the same. And dont get me started on Bitcoin..😷
