If I won a substantial amount of money, I would do similar things. I would focus a lot of attention, onto criminal justice, and the problems in our system.

@Jonjdw That’s really admirable. I’d definitely do something like that too. For now, though, I just want to make sure I help at least a few people here in my state who are going through tough financial times, like struggling with credit card debt, overdrafts, or other financial burdens. Once that’s done, I’d love to focus on bigger causes like the issues within our criminal justice system too.

I just want to mention that $370,000 is a drop in the bucket to the problems of the world.

Put that money to work BEFORE you start helping people. Invest, so that you don't end up dead broke in short order. That way, you will ALWAYS have money.

I was reading some of your plans, and there are companies out there like National Debt Relief who are ALREADY helping people who are overwhelmed with credit card debt. They help by creating a plan whereby those people can pay off their OWN debt, at an affordable rate! The people they help can then retain a sense of pride and self worth...and because no one is bailing them out completely, they won't turn around and do it again!

You THINK you are rich...but that money will not last unless you PLAN and make the money WORK.

PS. See a financial advisor...QUICKLY.

Congratulations to you, my friend!
Im a believer in Jesus and I know his blessings will follow you whetever you choose to give. He gave this gift to you and he wants to see how awesome he is by using you as a vessel of honor. If you honor God in your time, talent, tithes, he will shower you and show you mercy, grace, long life, and happiness! Too many people intend to be jealous and angry, bitter and un happy. You seem to be humble and deserve this blessing! I pray you find the right issues to contribute it to, and I pray you kerp doing well in life! Ur awesome, stay that way! 🫂 hugs n prayers!

well, thats great but nowadays that doesnt seem like that much to want to be giving it away. i mean idk your financial situation but if it was me id focus on family and friends and saving it so you dont ever find yourself in the position of being a charity case in need of help yourself. if its like fun money for you then great. in the millions of people who need help how will you choose who gets your help?

eta- eyeno (a guy on here) needs help hes about to be evicted i think

Before or after taxes? I’d help out here and there but keep a majority invested - this alone is not life changing money

Before you do that, remember, a drowning man never saved anyone. Make sure all your finances are in order and a cushion for a rainy day is in place. Then let your altruism run free..😷
