@whowasthatmaskedman domestic investment to pay for domestic needs. It goes to state budgets? So it wont be wasted on federal military spending? Yes that is good at least!

@jehova Granted...This spending will do less harm.. Unless you believe in the harm of pot smoking generally. I do think it reduces the potential for achievement in many users. But thats a personal opinion without medical evidence. It may be that people with less potential to begin with smoke pot to compensate..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman could be. But compared to alcohol i doubt its any more limiting\harmful; regardless, socially its helpful and far less dangerous though it being laced is still a major concern. Plus the tax revenue is crucial atm. If military funding were reduced perhaps pot tax income would not he so necessary. But here we are.

@jehova All true.. But cutting military funding means serious job losses for the military supply business. Everything from combat boots to tyres for military vehicles and uniforms.. Even food for the personell creates jobs and business.. And then there is a job losses if personel are actually detached. The blowback on the economies of multiple states would be significant..Even grunts pay taxes.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman might we repurpose much\many of those supply chains and jobs to civilian needs and concerns. Advance science not violence.

@whowasthatmaskedman certainly the current pattern of spending is only causing deficit not "profit" yet nothing has changed. Ww2 politicains ww2 strategy ww2 spending. Domestic investment will reduce waste thus translating to profit. Is it better to continue throwing taxpayer money into foreign problems while not cleaning up the mess at home?
