Oh man! 🤦♀ I've had people like that too. Always obsessing over whether someone else is getting five minutes more than they are.

From my own experience as an entrepreneurial business owner who employs dozens of people at times very sporadically because of the nature of the work, I have found that anytime an employee or hired contractor is telling me about someone else in my staff, they are actually telling me precisely about THEMSELVES.
When some person is nit-picking about someone else's activities, view that information as a direct projection of that person's guilt being brought forward, projected onto someone else, then presented to you as if they know more about the offending person that you could ever find out for yourself.
What the information geek is unconsciously admitting to me when this happens is his own wrong-doings, not someone else's bad attitude, even if that other person is also guilty of the same thing.
The information geek has simply found a scapegoat to unload his own guilty feelings on by ratting on his co-worker's lack of performance who's only reflecting what the information geek does himself!

Hell I have better things to do than track employees vacation sick time, I'm pretty sure they're honest about it, hell they do their own time sheets also

Let them know that they have too much time and to come in and you will have a meeting with them to INCREASE their workload…
