As an accountant I can tell you it's not the banks. It's people not managing their cash well.
@CougarLisa the machine with the money is literally telling you there isn’t enough money in it. So what is the bank doing with all of the money we give it?

@Ghostinthemachine over 75% of the money in the system exists digitally. People use debit cards or credit cards. I pay my bills on line, very rarely do I use a check.
