My Friend Went To Deposit A Little Cash In Her Checking Account & The $5 Bill Was Counterfeit….

The bank teller used a counterfeit pen on all of the pens, only $65. She told my friend she would have to keep that counterfeit bill. My friend had just gotten that money a few minutes ago after her friend gave her a $65 check and she got the cash from another bank. That bank refused to give her another $5 to replace it. I purchased some counterfeit pens and gave her one so it never happens to her again. I kept the rest and will mark every bill I get each time I go to a store and pay with cash and get change bank. Or get cash from a bank. Have you ever received a counterfeit money?

No. But however, When we use to work as Janitors Cleaning the office building or welfare buildings...

We we're in a Van heading off until some homeless dude wanted to talk to us...He wants to give out his Counterfeit Cash.

When we denied his fake money, he punched our van couple of times until we drove off. I'm pretty sure He was Tweaking.

I had a $20 counterfeit bill once, tried using it at one store but they told me i couldnt, so i went to another store and used it there because they didnt check it

@Tminus6453 Here they will take them and keep them to hand over to the police when that happens and that includes stores. They won’t let you walk out with it.

@cherokeepatti If it was a smaller bill i may have just kept it or threw it away, but $20 is a lot of money
Same thing. Had a $20 and the store kept it.

Not that I'm aware of.
Being a former retail manager we got them all the time from customers, we had to confiscate them and turn them over to the local Secret Service office, the customers would complain but had no other choice.

@NativePortlander1970 Imagine a bank passing one to a customer
@cherokeepatti I think I remember a case in the 90's where a teller was busted as part of a ring passing fakes.
