People support capitalism on one hand , but they also do not like financial inequality

or class system .

One man earning $10000 every hour . And pays 5% tax .
One million people earning $1000 every month . And pay 30% tax .

If you support capitalism , why do you oppose financial inequality ?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Because capitalism and the class system are one and the same thing!

Inequality has nothing to do with it.

It's rare that capitalists actually start from nothing. Sure there are some individuals that have benefited from capitalism. Yet out of 335 million people in the USA only a few thousand have made it to be a multi millionaires or even billionaires.

The top 5% income combined is greater than the bottom 90% income combined.

That's a class system by itself. With two obvious classes.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Max41 yet even the untouchable class have HOMES! Actually rent free!

The homeless here have NOTHING!
Max41 · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer If you consider 4 bamboo sticks and plastic wrapped around it really as a home .
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Max41 I suggest you see what it's like to be homeless. The homeless don't even own a place to put bamboo sticks! So they often move from place to place. Often what little they do have being stolen or evacuated with everything thown away by the very cities they are in.

Not even untouchables are treated that bad. They have a right to live.

Im okay with differing outcomes so long as everyone gets the same starting point.

Life and all things pertaining strictly to it should be a guarantee for all. Take as much money from the elites as you must to make that happen.

After that, they can keep the rest. Don't care.
Max41 · 26-30, M
@Eternity That may be nice if elite give people money to run their businesses .
They give to politicians however , in return for larger profit .

Yes there should be same starting point for all , if the policies are made such to support each .
The idea is rich ppl invest money in business and factory’s.. create jobs..
tax cuts are meant to be enticements to build more business and factories and create jobs..
now rich ppl give bags of money to politicians to pass policies to favour them.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Yep. Or squirrel it out of the country when mendacious radicals take over
Max41 · 26-30, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Yes that is the idea , to make business and factory ,
many people wish to do business as well , but they don't get loan from bank easily as well .
The opportunities to do business are difficult .
Only those who has assets already , get loan as well .

Then they do business , fund politicians . And politicians help them get more public property as well . The policies are surely made for them , to get funding for elections .

But business do not grows as much fast as businessman .

I'm ok with classes in capitolism. Financial wealth should be earned not a right.
Max41 · 26-30, M
@Iwillwait Those who earn $500 as monthly salary , when the price of a car is $200,000 . when price of marriage is costly , when price of travel is costly .
They earn $500 only to feed their stomach , it is also a life of beggar , a beggar also begs not for world tour or buying gadgets , but for filling his stomach as well .

Those who earn $500 a month , are also like beggars .
And they do pay taxes . But they don't do any business that their tax rate reduces .

The real beggars may live on subsidies if they make themselves eligible for it .
Iwillwait · M
@Max41 My guess is the Panhandlers here clear 500 a day tax free.

Cars are not $200K here, they're expensive but not they are pricey.
Max41 · 26-30, M
@Iwillwait It is good if one earns $500 a day ,
but many people earn $500 a month . If they are made tax free or reduced taxes , then it is good as well .
WhateverWorks · 36-40
I’m ok with capitalism ‘in theory’, but not unchecked profit margins / wages / cost of living. Income inequality can exist and still have a more reasonable distribution mechanism that looks out for its citizens’ quality of life.
Max41 · 26-30, M
@WhateverWorks Yes the distribution mechanism should benefit the average people as well , because their tax slab of 30% doesn't reduces , and inflation in later time is extra cost on the basic income .
And unchecked wages , and those who reduce their cost of living or enjoying life through their business , should be checked as well . Because their enjoyments are usually expensive ones .
Slade · 56-60, M
Nobody in this country pays 30% tax unless they are short turnaround capital gains. Those aren't the $1000 a month folks

Exaggerate much
Max41 · 26-30, M
@Slade In other countries people pay 27%-30% tax , it was not only about the country you live in . Where they earn $1000 a month as well .
While millionaires pay 5%-10% tax .
It is good your country has different tax standard .
Slade · 56-60, M
@Max41 I don't care about high tax growth crushing societies. I don't want to be like them
Ummm... Because it's inequality. That's like asking why you don't like pain🤷‍♀️
Max41 · 26-30, M
@canusernamebemyusername But many people say they like the concept of Capitalism but not like Communism where the inequality might be reduced it .
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
[c=BF0080]I support neither [/c]
Max41 · 26-30, M
@AlchemyFox I also don't support inequality and money hoarding .
scrood · 31-35
Loaded questions do NOT get answers from me!!! Inequality is part of NATURE and is GOOD
Max41 · 26-30, M
@scrood You surely might be a millionaire .
