When was the last time you actually sat down with a pen and paper and gone over/revised your budget?

We’ve had some big changes occur so that’s what I’m doing right now

At least five times per week with a spreadsheet I created and use for many years now. Not kidding. I even wrote a cool app equation in Excel that expands into other worksheet tabs that update/calculate/forecast/track my investments like stocks, bonds, gold, crypto currencies, ETFs, 401Ks, holdings, trades, etc... Considering simplifying it and selling it for ninety-nine cents online. I enjoy math, especially statistics. "It gives you a special feeling planning for future needs..."📱💰

@bijouxbroussard The nerve of him!
@ChipmunkErnie He eats a lot, comparatively speaking. 😄
I’m really getting to cook, though.

Joel takes care of the budget so I don't worry about it

December when my job was eliminated. Doing another round now after getting past a few things.

@BrandNewMan I’m sorry about your job

I do it every two weeks

My budget is done in Excel, I have monthly forecasts set out for the year for fixed expenses and just make changes at month end for the new month, should unexpected things come up. After each transaction, I will compare bank statement with the Excel expenses either daily if I have time or weekly.

@Sutten

Time we'll spent, wouldn't you say? Gonna try doing linear forecasts for my fixed expenses as well, good idea! I just only recently opened a second bank account at a credit union for the purpose of of having a backup and possibly get a competing home equity line if credit for upgrades to my condo. By chance I found out how much more this credit union offers than the one I've been with since 2007. The greedy big dogs can sure take your money for granted, can't they?
