Poor and broke does not mean you're stuck. We do not find happiness; we make it. We choose it.

You could find the right person that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated with respect and great honesty and bring you great joy, but that is not necessary for happiness. But first make sure you set your own self up to be able to take care of yourself no matter what comes along in your life. That's the key. Never rely on anyone else for your happiness. Always be able to take care of yourself. You can't go wrong like that. But when you depend on others to ensure your happiness, it will escape you. God gave us great resilience and the intelligence to survive on our own. But always remember that people are not always dependable, and most likely, not. Make sure you cover your own bases. Not depend on someone else. This is key for survival.

Just learn one skill, train one time, and give it your very best, and you'll be set up for life. Your struggle will end and right now at your young age, you could do that.

The world's famous boxer, Muhammad Ali, was very smart. He hated more than anything to train for his profession, but what he did was tell himself that as much as I hate training, I'm going to do this one thing just one time and to the best of my ability and then I'll never have to do it again. That's what made him so successful. He took his own advice. That's all it takes. Just do it once, but do it right and give it all you've got, and you'll never have to do it again. That will be your secure home base that will stay with you for life. Nothing says people have to depend on someone else for happiness. That is an illusion.
