Couples; Do you pool your money together?

Do you pool your money together in one account and pay the bills out of that account, or do you have seperate accounts and are each responsible to pay different things?

We always kept separate accounts, but never had an issue with bill paying. Just talked it through. Even now, she has her own account, now managed by our daughter, who handles all her affairs now..
