According to the NYT, the US government surpassed $30 trillion in debt for the first time ever February 7th. Pop the champagne!

What a wonderful time to have this much debt! 🙂 Interest rates are clearly heading higher, perhaps significantly. What could possibly go wrong?

How did it get this way? Why did we let it happen? Does it even matter?

What will be the tipping point where the burden of this debt suddenly collapses on our heads? Is there any way to prepare

@irishmolly72 Get as close to your maker as you can… have a strong relationship with him and he will guide you. But as far as what I have to say is get out of debt as fast as you can… and live way below your means… but then again the dollar will not be worth the paper it’s printed on some day in our futures. I personally don’t think it will be long.
