Maybe a shocker but I am a big fan😮

They are working for a living and it has a soap opera vibe. My mother was a fan. We were both Nascar fans.

To answer they (wrestlers) admit its scripted. 😏
If we only called things "sports" if they promoted a healthy life through modeling good practices, we'd remove

boxing
MMA
other fights
incl hockey (fights on ice)

current tv wrestling
Sumo

American football
or any other sport which promotes out-of-shape "players" or turns them into Muhammed Ali in his last yrs
incl. soccer with continual head-hits (American pro teams seem to like this)

computer gaming when ppl can be completely out of shape

"extreme" sports which are essentially stunts no one should ever try

I would have to agree.
Trump likes everything about it (take it from there)

Theater and sport: But hey, they don't mess around when they start slamming each other around.
MethDozer · M
It is theater performed by athletes and a competition in charisma.
MethDozer · M
@calicuz Especially in days past it was. If you watch the old products it was more two athletes competeing to put on the best match of the night. That is less an aspect nowadays and is more about trying to fill matches with the most spots in a match.

There's much less attempt to simulate a suspension of disbelief and trying tonmake it look real nowdays. In the past though there was a strong compettion to see who could work the most realistic looking predetermined match.

@MethDozer

I agree, with all the dramatic speeches and challenges from the center of the ring with a mic, theatrics rule the modern day wrestling ring.
MethDozer · M
@calicuz you dont get promo shots like this anymore. Skip to 1 minute mark.
