Why people quit Jiu Jitsu.

I have been in the game a long time. As a student, competitor, and assistant instructor.

I have seen people come and go more than I’d like to say.

The two biggest reasons I see people quit training is EGO and INJURIES.

An EGO is your worst enemy when it come to jiu jitsu, but most people can not accept this.

Injuries are part of the game and there’s no way to avoid them.

Ego however plays a big role in a lot of injuries I have seen over my years.

Obviously there are other reasons why people leave but the majority of people I see quit training come down to those two major factors.

My left shoulder got dislocated recently, causing me to take a break for some time

Injuries from whack fighters is so annoying
