I wanna start fighting again 😶
It's been almost 6 years since I stopped training martial arts.
Boxing and Taekwondo were what i was training at that time, but before that I had been based in a mixed martial art taught by a master who had a background in kung fu, karate, judo, and kick boxing.
I love combat sports, but I dont have much freetime to commit to it at this time, unfortunately.
Im so curious to see how much I may have retained, and how differently I would have to fight now that I've put on so much beef.
I was really small back when i fought. Like 170 lbs. My strategy was focused on endurance and counter-offense.
Now im 215 lbs. I've put on alot of muscle since then. I'm willing to bet that my endurance is not nearly as high as it use to be; I could fight for hours if I had to. But I am a lot stronger now.
Definitely probably cannot pull off some of the maneuvers that i use to, but i bet that i could probably learn and adapt to new techniques that wouldn't have been feasible at the size I was back then.
I was not a ground game fighter nor a grappler; i made use of slips and reversals and tried my best to keep off the floor and make my opponent swap hands with me.
Now, though, I bet I could develop a formidable ground game and make use of grappler tactics.
