Am I the only one who thinks they should remake The Lord of the Rings as a TV series?

The Peter Jackson film trilogy is timeless and will never be matched by any other adaption to The Lord of the Rings. So why do another as a TV series? Because I personally love the idea of an adaption that's even more faithful, if not completely so, to the source material. Yes, whole sections from the books had to be omitted from the films due to pacing reasons and lack of relevancy to the overarching plot. But in an episodic show format, that would allow a lot more room for more parts of the book to be properly adapted onscreen. The goal wouldn't be to be better or even as good as the Peter Jackson films, but to simply have a version of The Lord of the Rings that's more faithful to the books. It'll probably never happen in a million years, lol. But it's just an idea.
