I Wet Myself On Purpose When I Was A Kid

@Foreverspringtime: Cool to see that I was not the only one to wet myself out there, also on puroose. Your parents seemed to be quite cool about it (as actually also my parents were). You say that you and your sister and cousins were kids then. How old were you? You probably were younger than me, as I did this as a young teenager and even a bit older.

@tissegutt: Yeah, my parents were pretty cool about it. I guess they were used to me having accidents.

Yeah, I was a bit younger. I stopped peeing in my snow pants when I was 12 or 13, but my sister did it well into her teens. She is 3 years older than me and I think we stopped at about the same time. I'm pretty sure one of my cousins did it a few times as a young teenager too.

I still peed in my swim shorts as a young teen, but I was not so open about it after I was about 12. It all kinda changed once I hit puberty.

My accidental bedwetting stopped almost completely around the same time too, although I still had the occasional accident for about a year after that and a once-only bedwetting when I was 15 or 16.

How old were you when you were doing this?

@Foreverspringtime: I am not that surprised that your sister peed in her snowpants at an older age than you. When out there playing it is much more difficult for a girl to go some places to pee, whereas we boys can just go behind some bushes or trees or whatever.

It seems that you did as many kids do; wetting yous pants until you start getting into puberty. Then it somehow starts becoming inappropriate and embarrassing to do it.

For me it was a bit different. I have always had a bit overactive bladder, so for me having accidents were not unusual. When getting into puberty at 13-14 I started growing a lot, but my bladder didn't, so my wetting actually started increasing at that age. Then I also started wetting the bed more frequently and actually had to start wearing diapers. I also hated being the one always having to stop what I was doing to go home or some places to pee, and especially when wearing snow pants pr rain pants I very often peed in my pants. in fact i some times also did it when wearing jeans or shorts, and then my friends for sure noticed. They knew about my problems though, so even if I was teased a little it was not too mean. This continued for a few years, but when becoming 17-18 my bladder had grown, although it will always been on the small side. After that I have had some accidents, but it has mostly been after drinking beer! lol

@tissegutt: Yeah, I agree it's much more difficult for a girl. It also seems somehow more acceptable for a teenage girl to do it than a teenage boy.

I can understand why your accidents increased at that point if your bladder didn't grow. It must have been embarrassing for you at that age. I continued to have a few accidents after puberty and I remember I was very embarrassed when it happened.

My bedwetting was very frequent when I was a very young kid, but my daytime wetting was at a peak between 10 and 12. The reason for this was simple. 10 was the age when I got very shy about being seen and started to refuse to pee in public. I refused even to pee in front of my sister, although she had seen me a thousand times.

Somehow it was less embarrassing for me to wet my pants than it was to be seen by a girl. This changed when I was about 12 and I realised it was no big deal if she saw me. It was also when I went to a new school and started getting teased about smelling of pee.

So no more deliberate or "convenience" wetting after puberty for me, but I still had the odd accident as a teenager.
